Woodfibre Products

Peat and Perlite substitute

Unique and innovative raw materials, that when added to our substrates reduce or completely replace peat and reduce perlite while maintaining porosity and improving water availability.

Product Range

Hortifibre

100% Renewable Wood fibre

Hortifibre® is a wood fibre made from PEFC-certified softwood chips. It is 100% renewable and has the lowest carbon footprint of all uncompressed raw materials used in potting soils. This wood fibre is obtained by a thermomechanical extrusion process at high temperature (120°C) which guarantees the safety and consistent quality of the fibres.

By composing Hortifibre® into the soil, it provides aeration to the substrates.

Turbofibre

A Total Peat Substitute

The market demands products that biodegrade fully and harmlessly in the environment.

Turbofibre® is a bark fibre obtained via a patented process. Its high porosity and excellent aeration make for a well-balanced material that offers optimum water and air availability, and which is perfectly adapted to all types of crops.

Turbofibre® has similar physical characteristics to blonde peat and is equal in terms of performance.

Being 100% renewable, Turbofibre® has positioned itself as a revolutionary raw material.

Woodpeat

The First 100% Renewable & Dry Raw Material

Woodpeat® is considered a premix, because it can be added to any soil mix as a peat substitute.

Woodpeat® is made of Hortifibre® a fibre and coco peat, providing an optimal balance of air and water. Hortifibre® allows the proportion of available air to be significantly increased compared to a 100% coir substrate, providing roots with ideal conditions for vigorous and even development.

Woodpeat® may be used alone, in which case it is a 100% renewable substrate with agronomic qualities identical to that of peat, or as part of a mixture in order to reduce the quantity of peat required.
